The thing I miss the most about living in Japan is the lack of guns. It’s not like they are not present in Japan (there is hunting), but they are not part of the culture, nor do parents fear that the school their kids attend is going to be shot up. I based this assemblage on Goya’s 3rd of May, which is such an iconic painting that Matise and Picasso both stole from it to describe atrocities of war. While I am not representing an act of war… well… huh.
