Cory Oberndorfer is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor living and working in Rockville, MD. His work fixates on nostalgia, American popular culture, and the joy of life’s simple pleasures. His work has been exhibited nationally, including Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, CA, Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC, Kayo Gallery in Salt Lake City, UT, G Fine Art and the American University Museum in Washington, D.C, and Arlington Arts Center in Arlington, VA. He has completed residencies in Ålvik, Norway, Hyattsville, MD, Johnson, VT, and Charleston, SC. He is a recipient of multiple Artist Fellowships and project grants from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Oberndorfer received his BFA from Weber State University, MFA from American University, and currently teaches at George Mason University.
