ACO Artist Discussion with Chawky Frenn

Born in Lebanon, Chawky Frenn emigrated to the United States in 1981. He completed his BFA from Mass College of Art and Design in 1985 and his MFA from Temple University in 1988. He is currently an Associate Professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.Frenn has participated in numerous exhibits and has received critical acclaim, nationally and internationally. He was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence in 2017, and Mason’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2009.Frenn authored two books 100 Boston Artists and 100 Boston Painters. His work appeared in many publications including 100 Artists of Washington, D.C. and Male Nude Now. Art for Life’s Sake is a monograph on Frenn’s work published in Beirut, Lebanon.
