Art Clinic Workshop: Figure Drawing to Painting
Fridays, 10:00 – 4:00pm, August 4 – August 11
About Figure Drawing to Painting
This workshop is about the 7 “P’s”. Prior Preparations Prevents Poorly Planned People Paintings. We’ll do warm up drawings and figure studies to get the creative juices flowing before moving to the canvas to sling paint. You’ll find a big difference in your painting when you have familiarity with the model through drawing. Instruction will focus on drawn proportions, value studies, and choosing a composition while learning the important process of going from a drawing to a painting. Please note there is a $40 model fee for this workshop. Minimum age 14.
Schedule of Classes:
Class 1) August 4 – 10:00 – 12:30- Begin figure drawing exercises geared toward painting. Work with edges rather than line to represent brushwork. These exercises are aimed to warm up before moving on to painting.
