5-week Art Clinic with J. Jordan Bruns–
Join us for the ULTIMATE art materials experimentation Art Clinic. We’ll work with you to find what mixed media technique works best for you. We have broken the options into “color” and “black and white.” From there, we’ll devise a plan of attack on the best method to create fun and beautiful works of art. Explore one option for all four classes or try a variety of different approaches. Please note there is a $20 model fee paid in class. Class Level: intermediate to advanced.
Schedule of Classes:
Class 1) October 18 – Demo: Black and White Mix and Match – Begin working the Still Life piece. Spend enough time on the light pencil sketch of the still life that you will feel comfortable adding either monochrome color or full color.
Class 2) October 25– Demo: Color Mix and Match Begin adding color and value to the sketch started from Oct. 18. At this point, both color and monochrome tactics have been addressed so the initial drawing can go either way.
Class 3 November 1 – Finish up two/three week still life piece in either monochrome or full palette. For those who are finished with the piece, begin working on a new piece from photograph.
Class 4) November 8 – Chose either monochromatic or full color palette to begin working on the two-week figure piece. Our model is Gazelle.
Class 5) November 15 – Finish up two-week painting focusing on details and layering materials. Model – Gazelle
